Setting up and running a Company Discovery in DealSignal follows a similar process to Contact Discovery but focuses on gathering comprehensive company data. Here's how to do it.
How company discovery works
On-Demand Verification: Initiates a real-time verification process to ensure the data is current and reliable.
Customizable Search Criteria: Define specific criteria such as company size, location, industry, and more.
Advanced Algorithms and AI: Uses advanced algorithms and artificial intelligence to enrich and verify company information.
Comprehensive Data: Receive detailed company profiles that include essential firmographic data.
Integration with CRM: Seamlessly integrate discovered companies into your CRM system.
Initiate company discovery
There are three ways to run a Company Discovery:
From the Dashboard: Start searching for companies using criteria within the AI search bar or by clicking "search with filters" to get started.
From Advanced Search: Once you run the search and get results, launch the Company Discovery, Verification, and Enrichment process.
Directly from the Discovery Tab: Go to the Discovery tab, switch to company lists, and click the "Discover & Verify Companies" button.

The discovery process involves two main steps:

Setting Up the Discovery Criteria
Step 1: Select Data Type
Choose "Verify Companies Only" at the top of the filters section.
Step 2: Set Up Your Filters
In the left panel, apply the DealSignal filters to target your desired companies.
Step 3: Preview Results
Preview the table on the right with examples of up to 10 companies that match your criteria.
The total estimated number of companies in the market will be displayed at the top of the example records.
Step 4: Continue with the Criteria
Click "Continue With This Criteria" to proceed to the verification settings and complete your search setup.

In the Verification settings tab, you will find a bunch of settings on the right and a preview of all Verification settings on the left.
Let's go through several steps to set up your Discovery.
Review Criteria
Ensure the criteria set up in the previous step accurately target your desired companies.
Set Limits
Options in the Limits sections are very important. They directly impact how many records you will get in the final result and how many credits will be spent.
Company Limits: Use the slider to set the maximum number of companies to verify (up to 10,000).
Enter Custom Value: If you need a specific limit, enter a custom value.
Company Verification Settings
In this mandatory settings group, you need to define which company data you want to receive after verification.
By default, you will always get the refreshed company profile. Additionally, you could set up these important details:
Funding & Financials: get estimated revenue and funding data for the company
Technologies: enrich company data with specific technologies data. In the results if a company has any of the selected techs they will marked.
Job Postings: enrich company data with specific Job Postings data. In the results, if a company has any of the selected job postings published they will marked.
Company Intent: enrich company data with specific Intent data. In the results, if a company has any of the selected intent they will marked.
Additional Settings
Company Suppression: Manage company suppression lists.
Flag Duplicates: Identify and flag duplicate records in the final results.
Notifications: Enable email notifications upon completion.
Launch Verification
Preview Section:
Review the maximum number of companies to be verified and the estimated credit consumption.
Check the start and estimated completion dates for the verification process.
Launch Process:
If everything is correct, click "Launch Verification" to start the discovery process. Depending on the number of companies, this can take up to 24 hours.
You will receive email notifications when the process starts and is completed.
By following these steps, you can ensure your company data is thoroughly verified and enriched, enhancing the accuracy and effectiveness of your sales and marketing campaigns.
